Pinda Thailam (Pinda Oil, also spelled as Pind Tail or Tailam) is an ayurvedic oil preparation used for relieving pain, heat sensation, burning sensation, redness, tenderness and swelling in the joints. Especially, it is recommended for the management of gouty arthritis symptoms and used as a topical application and a gentle massage of Pinda oil is recommended on the affected joints. It is also beneficial in cases of burning feet syndrome, feet pain with morning tenderness and stiffness.
Ingredients (Composition):
- Madhuchhista – Honey bee wax : 1 Part
- Manjistha – Rubia Cordifolia : 1 Part
- Raal (Sarja Rasa) – Vateria Indica Resin : 1 Part
- Sariva – Hemidesmus Indicus : 1 Part
- Til Tail – Sesame Oil : 4 Parts
- Water : 16 Parts
Indications:
- Gouty Arthritis
- Burning feet or burning feet syndrome
- Joint tenderness and heat sensation in the affected joints due to Rheumatoid Arthritis
How to Use: Warm the Pinda Thailam and then apply it over the affect parts or joints. A gentle massage should be done. It should be used 2 to 3 times a day especially at night before sleep.
